Simple & effective ways to refocus on your goals
Hey Fulfilled Femme,
Do you ever feel like you need a vacation from your vacation?
The summer can be a busy time! You might find yourself jumping from vacation with the family, to reconnecting with friends and spending as much time as possible enjoying the warmth & sunlight.
But all those amazing experiences can also lead to feeling distracted and off-focus from your goals.
This is something I can definitely relate to right now, can you?
With the summer, unfortunately, coming to an end, I want to share some tips to get back in touch with your goals!
I believe its key to have simple & effective effective ways to refocus on your goals to allow for an easeful process of getting back into the swing of things.
4 Ways to Reconnect With Your Goals:
1. Connect with Your Vision
Whether it’s looking at your vision board, writing down, or reciting your goals daily, now is a better time than any to put your attention back on what it is exactly you wish to accomplish.
Reflect on your why, focus on your biggest dreams, and what it is that you really want.
This will help give you an extra sense of precision and clarity to get you back on track and will reignite that fire that drives you to achieve your goals.
I look at my vision board daily and recite my dream day to keep me in alignment with my grand vision.
What do you do?
2. Tune into Yourself
While you are working to reconnect with your goals, you want to follow the path of least resistance.
Ask yourself,
“When is the time I feel most focused?”
Are you an early riser who likes to work as the sun comes up? Do you need to settle into your day, and have some breakfast and coffee first? Are you a night owl who gets bursts of creativity in the middle of the night?
Whenever it is, listen to yourself, and lean in.
Connect with the time or moments in your day when you feel most energized to be productive and schedule accordingly. Choose the path of least resistance.
For me, I feel most energized in the late morning, or early afternoon. That's when I feel like I can be productive.
3. Create Simple Tasks
Do you feel like you are struggling for even a tiny spark of motivation? In those moments, it can be easy to put off whatever you have to do because the task feels too daunting.
The best solution is to break down the task into smaller, easier-to-accomplish items. This will help you feel less overwhelmed, put the procrastination to the side, and get your momentum rolling again!
For example, if you’ve been wanting to create a website, think about all the things that need to be done in order to complete it. Do you need to create branding, graphics, or write copy?
Brainstorm out everything, then circle 1 or 2 items you can start now.
4. Reset and Restart
There’s going to be times in life when we’re meant to be taking a lot of momentous action, and there’s going to be times when we just can’t seem to find the flow.
It’s easy to be hard on yourself in those moments, where you feel disconnected from your goals, and are not achieving things in the timeline you thought you would.
In those moments, give yourself permission to hit that reset button & restart.
Focus on where you are right now, and create a new timeline that is aligned with you, at this moment.
Which step are you going to start with?
Remember, the road to your goals is never a straight line, take your own journey, and give yourself the freedom to reset and reconnect whenever you need to!
