Let’s Reset 2020 with Awareness

2020 has been one heck of a year, to say the least. It’s been such a crazy year! I thought it would be best for all of us to hit the reset button for 2020.
It has caused many of us to lose focus on our projects, dreams, productivity, and routines.
I hit the reset button when I was vacationing in Western Canada this summer. I was releasing my book Now What at the time and I was experiencing limiting beliefs and energetic tension coming up, due to my empathetic nature.
I thought, I'm done with this. I’m done feeling icky, I’m done worrying if my book will be a success because of coronavirus. I decided to hit the reset button.
I decided to become aware and reflect on everything that I did to hit that reset button so I could shift my mindset and launch my book.
I want to share the steps I took to hit the reset button so you too can hit that reset button for 2020.
Maybe you’ve been procrastinating that blog, youtube channel, a business expansion, a new year's resolution that you wanted to create but there was a pause because of Covid 19 and all of the craziness that’s been going on in the world.

Here is some of the key points I shared so far for Day 1: Awareness
When I look back on times in my life where I started to make changes it was because I was aware of thoughts and situations that I had to heal and clear through.
Awareness is a state of focused perception.
So you’re perceiving something in a focused manner. For example, when you look into a mirror, you feel self-conscious.
Being aware means that you focus on that perception and you now recognize that as a belief that no longer fits.
Awareness is always the first step to creating change because it allows us to connect with what we want to grow inside of ourselves.
Sometimes we can become aware of thoughts and beliefs that we have and we can be hard on ourselves.
I think that awareness happens because it gives us a spotlight that shines light on what we want to change.
It’s all for our greater good.
Awareness helps us become aware of the thoughts that are flying around our minds holding us back from making the rest of 2020 amazing and productive.
It is estimated that humans have 60,000 to 80,000 thoughts each day.
I think a lot of us operate on airplane mode and don’t realize the thoughts we have throughout the day.
It’s so important to become aware of your thoughts so that you notice patterns of thinking that are affecting your belief systems, overall mindset, energy, and the way we experience in life.
We get to choose how we live our life. It’s important to be in the driver's seat. It’s important to know that your reality really comes down to the way you choose to experience life. When things aren’t going the way you want, it’s time to become aware and to shift and clear, which is what I’ll get into shortly.
Applying this practice allows us to achieve mental clarity.
When we develop awareness it helps us kickstart personal development, make better decisions, notice areas of our lives we want to grow and reset, increase productivity, and achieve our goals.
A great tool for becoming aware of what is holding us back from success is writing our thoughts down on paper.
Here are a few powerful writing prompts (take 15 minutes to really dive deep):
1. What has your experience with 2020 been so far?
2. What thought has been most dominantly running through your mind?
3. Is that thought helping you achieve productivity and success?
4. Which thoughts am I ready to let go of so I can make the rest of 2020 more productive and successful?
Now that you are aware of the thoughts running through your mind, decide which thought you are ready to let go and proclaim it out loud! I choose to let go of___________.
Speak it out with tenacity, even if you don’t believe it, by speaking it into existence, it will begin to become your truth.
Growing and choosing to make a shift can be scary, but your life can shift in incredible ways once you choose to commit to embracing that change. Give in and let it go.
