3 Ways to Become Your Best Self in 2021
You know that saying, New Year, New Me? Many people have been talking about stepping into that and embodying that phrase by working on themselves.
Obviously, you can start bettering yourself any time, but the energy of the new year can give you that extra boost of motivation.
I decided to listen to my audience and share a few tips to help you become your best self in 2021.
3 Tips to Help You Become the Best Version of Yourself this Year:
1. Invest in Yourself
Invest in your personal development. When I say invest, it doesn’t necessarily need to be money. It can mean that you invest your time, energy, and your money into yourself.
The best investment you can make is into yourself.
This can be different for a lot of people. It can be things like purchasing courses, reading books, listening to podcasts, taking a free course. Whatever you feel called to do, as long as you are allocating some time to work on yourself.
Make yourself a priority with your time, energy, and money, and put aside some time to do that daily or weekly.
Set aside part of your paycheck to invest in a course or book. Set aside some time to work on yourself, and set aside some energy so you can commit to reading a book cover to cover or complete the course you purchased.
The more that you invest into your personal development, the better you that you will become.
2. Add a New Habit to Your Routine
There might be a habit you’ve been wanting to pick up that you have been procrastinating. This could be meditating daily or getting into reading every day or working out 3 times a week.
Choose one habit today that you are going to commit to for a week.
Habits are the foundation of everything. If you have a bad habit that becomes the focus of your life and deters you from becoming the best version of yourself.
Consider a habit that you are prepared to let go of and one you want to embody this year. For me, it’s drinking more water.
3. Create a State of Balance and Equilibrium
I have to be honest and share with you, this is one that I am trying to work on this year as well.
Take your time and imagine if half of it could be about achieving your goals and dreams and the other half could be about reflecting, studying, and self-care.
Take time to take action toward your goals and dreams while also making time to fill up your own cup. Make yourself a priority by applying tip number one and taking time to care for yourself.
Taking care of yourself will allow you to show up fully in everything else that you do!
